It’s a story about coming of age… for a second time. Three middle-aged actresses dream of starring in a film, but when nobody will hire them they make their own and enter a film contest. Ignoring the advice of their therapist turned shaman to tell their own stories, Jane, Cindy and Michelle act out their fantasy selves in front of the camera, and watch in horror as their dream becomes a joke in the hands of a former award-winning European director. It’s only when Michelle’s hyper-critical mother has a heart attack and tries to make amends by apologizing—and giving Michelle enough money to make another film—that the three friends finally take the shaman’s advice and embrace who they are now.
